— Camera Box is a blues-influenced alt rock band that formed in January 2015 as a recording project between Danny Weathers and Josh Harrison. Over the next year, the project evolved into a full-length album entitled «Physical» released in May 2016. In early 2016, Camera Box added new members J. Hilton (bass), J. Quandt (guitar), Mike Felker (drums), and Carter Culwell (keys). The group draws influences from retro blues artists (Muddy Waters, John Lee Hooker, Buddy Guy, etc.) as well as from recent blues-influenced rock artists (Jack White, The Black Keys, Cage the Elephant, The Arctic Monkeys, Alt J, etc.).
Camera Box's new album «Physical» is an experiment of sound that pulls from a collection of diverse inspiration. While leaning more towards rock than blues in overall sound, the album ranges from atmospheric, brit-rock, and singer-songwriter vibes all the way to thematic elements and hard-hitting riffs. Written out of various plights and passages of a young life, this album manages to convey the heavy heart of longing, while also carrying a sometimes «fun», «energetic», and «balls-to-the-walls» attitude.
— Hey, compadres. We're CLOUDLAND. First things first, we are four best friends that love making music together. We grew up in the town of Fayetteville, GA. If anyone knows anything about Fayetteville, it's that after about eight o'clock everything in town closes down. So, on a Friday night the only thing for us to do was to make rock and roll in someone's basement. After about a year of messing around with songwriting and original material, we sat down to talk about getting serious. We all came to the conclusion that if we were gonna take a shot at pursuing music seriously, we were gonna do it together. In January of 2017, we cut our first four song EP. The unique thing about this group is that with every member comes a different musical influence. Hogan (Guitar) loves Dean DeLeo, Drake (Bass) is influenced by Green Day & Kings Of Leon, Karmen (Drums) frequently plays Miles Davis & Paramore, and Zach (Guitar/Vocals) learns from Johnny Cash. We hope these vast and different musical influences contribute to a completely new sound for our fans. We assure you we aren't just another pop band looking for fame. We're just four guys pursuing a passion to create and perform the best music we can offer. We want our music to be for people, for all people. Whether you've got it all figured out or you're falling apart, we hope these songs speak to you. At the end of the day, we are just four hometown guys with a drive to make something special. After all, we're not being anyone if we're not being us.
— The Apartment Club is an alternative rock outfit from Spartanburg, SC who’s hitting the Southeast hard this Spring. They released their debut EP a few weeks ago and it’s nothing short of an emotional rollercoaster. Their live performances are full of raw energy and emotion.
Below I’ve placed some links to each bands social media and music below for you to get a good feel for each act’s aesthetic and sound. I’ve heard really great things about Vinyl and I think this could be a great show for each party. Looking through you all’s schedule it seem that you usually book bills with only two or three bands. If it’s necessary for us to line up a third just let me know and I can make it happen!
