General Code of Conduct:
Guys, this really should go without saying, but being under the influence of any substance or alcohol while in the venue is discouraged. If you're rowdy enough, We will throw you out without a refund.
Sexual harassment rule: If anyone, male or female reports to me or my staff that any individual at the event has made them feel uncomfortable sexually, we're going to have to sit down and have a talk. Depending on how I interpret the situation, the offender risks expulsion from the tournament, disqualification from the bracket, and possibly future bans from any events I run. TL:DR… keep your hands to yourself and don't be obnoxious.

Deathpool — If you miss the pre-registration, you may still show up and sign up at the door. All at the door registrants will be placed into the Deathpool. Signup time for the Deathpool ends at 1:30pm SHARP. No exceptions.

11am — 12:15pm ~ Wave A
12:20pm — 1:40pm ~ Wave B
1:45pm — 3:00pm ~ Wave C
1:45PM — 3:00pm ~ Deathpool
Melee Doubles — 3:00pm
6:10pm — Top 32 Singles until completion
(If a game does not have enough entrants to warrant a Top 32 then however many advance from pools will constitute the «Top X» # of players)
We will be stricter than ever about time. If you leave the building without informing your pool captain and your match is called, you will be disqualified.
Outside food is allowed in the venue.
Standard Evo 2016 Ruleset:
Game version: US Nintendo GameCube
Game Settings: 4 Stock, 8 Minute Time Limit, No Items, Pause Disabled, 2/3 Games
Starter stages: Yoshi’s Story, Fountain of Dreams, Final Destination, Battlefield, Dream Land.
Counter-pick stages: Pokemon Stadium.
Wobbling is legal. Freezing and infinite stalling are not legal.
First stage is decided by banning from the Starter Stages in P1-P2-P2-P1 order.
Winning player is not locked into the same character for the next match, but has to pick before loser selects character.
Following stages decided by winner banning one stage from all stages and then loser choosing.
Any matches that are best of five, there are no stage bans.
Maximum allowed time between games is 60 seconds. Any player violating this rule will be issued a loss.
You may not choose a stage you have already won on unless mutually agreed to.
Items are set to Off and None.
Stock and Time are set to 4 stock and 8 minutes respectively.
Regular sets are best of 3 matches.
The Tournament Host is the arbiter of all disputes.
Blind Picks: the first character selection of a set must be without prior knowledge of the opponent's character selection for both players.
Modified Dave's Stupid Rule: No player can counter pick a stage he or she has previously won on unless agreed upon by both players.
Gentleman's clause: any stage may be played on so long as both players and the Tournament Host agree to it, including banned stages. This can be used in tandem with the Modified Dave's Stupid Rule (MDSR).
Timed out matches will be determined by the remaining number of lives, then percentage of the current stock. In the event of a percentage tie, replay that match. Any Sudden Death match is strictly not to be played.
Additional Rules for Teams Play
Life Stealing is allowed.
Set team attack to On.
Payout 60/30/10 1st 2nd 3rd
Payout through 4th if +40 entrants 50/25/15/10
Melee Singles Entry: $5
Melee Teams: $10 ($5 per person)
Please notice there is a 5% processing fee on pre-registration, this is because of the fees paypal charges to businesses (which The Lab Gaming Center is), this is to cover those charges.

This obligation shall continue beyond the term of the Event.
