Compost consists of partially decomposed organic matter that is essential for healthy soil, but is normally missing in our red clay. Learn how you can create your own compost from commonly available materials. This class will cover the major steps involved, required ingredients, hot vs cold composting, various methods you can use and additional considerations. The Alpharetta class will be held at the Whole Foods Educational Garden, where we will demonstrate some of the practical methods for homeowners.
This class is sponsored by the Alpharetta Natural Resource Commission and taught by the UGA Extension Fulton County and the North Fulton Master Gardeners.
