Join Historic Oakland Foundation for the 10th annual Run Like Hell 5K! The largest cemetery run in the country, Run Like Hell is one of Atlanta’s favorite neighborhood 5K fundraisers.

Run Like Hell is a Peachtree Road Race qualifier, and covers several areas of Oakland Cemetery, including the historic Jewish grounds, Confederate section, new Beaumont Allen Greenhouse, Hogpen Corner, and Knit Mill, as well as the Memorial Drive Greenway to the state capitol.

All proceeds from Run Like Hell benefit Historic Oakland Foundation’s mission to preserve, restore, enhance, and share Oakland Cemetery, Atlanta’s oldest public burial ground.

Walkers, leashed dogs, and strollers are welcome. The race closes out at 1,600 participants, so be sure to register early!

$35 until Sept. 15
$40 thereafter

Registration is limited to 1,600 participants. Registration closes on Wednesday, Oct. 11 at midnight. No race day registration.

Race day packet and T-shirt pick up is from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m. at Lion Square.

Check-In
Race check-in begins at 7:30 a.m. at Lion Square. Race participants can check bags, jackets, and other items at this time.

Run Like Hell begins at 9 a.m.

After the race stick around for the Run Like Hell awards ceremony and costume contest! Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the following age groups:

10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & Over.

Prizes will also be given to the top costume in the following categories: Best Adult Male, Best Adult Female, Best Group, and Best Dog.

Run Like Hell participants can also take a complimentary guided tour of Oakland Cemetery, offered after the race. Tour guides will give mini tours of the “Sights, Symbols, and Stories of Oakland” guided overview tour.

Check out the Run Like Hell Pop-up Shop at Lion Square and show your race number for a 10% discount on your purchase. Historic Oakland Foundation members receive an additional 10% discount.
