Are you thinking about taking that leap and selling your textile creations? Are you already selling? Either way, you'll know that there are many issues to consider — pricing, presentation, and marketing just to name a few. Enter Anne Vincent and Ginny Harris. They both excel at selling their work, but they come at it from two very different perspectives. Anne is a full-time professional who sells wearable art at the American Craft Council Show every year; Ginny sells part time and is a perennial favorite at SEFAA's Fiber Art Sale. Each will share their sale philosophy and what works for them and why. Then, they'll take your questions. Don't miss this fun, informal opportunity to get practical, tested advice and ideas, especially if you'd like to sell your work at this year's Fiber Art Sale!

Anne’s handmade textiles are the outgrowth of a lifelong love of creating with fiber. She felts, dyes, and sews with Merino wool, silk and other fibers and embellishments to create unique works of wearable art and home décor. Each piece is a tactile exploration of the natural characteristics of the materials, and the results vary from comfortably casual to fabulously formal. Her inspiration comes from a wide range of sources and experiences — travel, nature, literature, gardens, hiking, space, museums, and exhibitions. Anne is an art major and former interior designer who lives and works in Atlanta, Georgia.

Ginny is a lifelong stitcher, garment maker and lover of all things textile. She accidently gave selling her work a try and found that she liked the challenge, the research, and the lessons she learned. For the past several years she has created and sold small sewing notions using her best materials and processes to share items that she had enjoyed using and gifting to sewing friends.

Cost: Free for individual SEFAA members; $5 for non-members.
