Instructor: Corey Ragsdale
Time: 10am — 12 pm
From prop production to aerospace engine maintenance, scanning can rapidly accelerate the process of replicating enhancing and designing real world objects that will be manufactured using 3D printing, urethane/silicone casting or CNC machining. In this workshop you will see 3D laser scanning technology live and learn about different types of scanners and reverse engineering software, and when is best to use each type.
You will also be given in depth knowledge on using scanning to design parts around the object (fixtures, dies, masks, etc.) and how to select casting materials to use in 3D printed plastic molds versus machined aluminum molds.
In this information-packed workshop, you will walk away with understanding the basics of how scanning, casting and 3d printing can dramatically improve your design and prototyping of products, props and fixtures.
Light refreshments and mimosas will be served. There is no charge for this workshop, but space is limited so please reserve your spot today!
***Signing up gives us an idea of how many participants we will have during this demo. You can show up the day of but if you can please reserve a spot ahead of time.
