Join ICE and Emory’s hottest dance teams and acapella groups at the kickoff mela, meaning festival in Hindi! A free dinner with entrees with vegetarian options will be available.

Wonderful Wednesday, Asbury Circle // 12-2 PM
Enjoy savory dosas, tangy chaat, and other foods from around the nation for an excellent, fresh lunch catered by Cafe Bombay. Join us at Wonderful Wednesday in Asbury Circle. Professional henna artists will accompany the refreshments, offering beautiful ethnic designs for free on your hands.

Join writer and activist Bachi Karkaria for an engaging conversation on Indian social structure and urban issues.
Bollywood Night, Cafe Istanbul // 10 PM-1 AM
A night of merriment and festivity at Cafe Istanbul, complete with a DJ with a focus on south Asian music and dance. Entrants will be free until 11 PM, and will be charged $5 for entry after then.

Holi: Festival of Colors, McDonough Field // 12 — 2 PM
Holi, the Indian festival of color that occurs in the spring symbolizes the victory of good over evil and is celebrated by playing with color, singing, and dancing. Join the entire Emory community, as we get lost in the color and experience life from a new perspective! Wear white and be prepared to get wet and dirty, all for free!

Join Emory’s own, Dean Ajay Nair, his wife Payaal Nair, and ICE for a once in a lifetime discussion about dealing with the cultural norms of the Indian-American dating scene, from the 80s to the modern day.
